The photos that you have stopped to admire are taken through the eyes of someone with quite a different perspective on life.  The eye that looks through the camera has the ability of anywhere from 4% to 6% sight with tunnel vision.  Try looking through a straw and all someone can do is empathize.

Try to imagine looking at life as one dimensional instead of 2 dimensional like the majority of the population.  The world is flat, depth reception does not exist in the 4% to 6% sight that he utilizes.

Richard Holloway has an amazing natural talent for photography.  He was diagnosed legally blind March 13, 1991.  For the past two years Richard has followed his passion.  His photos prove the many moods and emotional ties with everyday life.

He has used his talents and donated many of his pieces towards four different non-profit organizations and has successfully raised thousands of dollars.  His work hangs in hospitals, corporate and medical offices, restaurants and many other venues.

In his everyday life he is lead by his wonderful and loyal Leader Dog, Lachen.  Richard and Lachen have been together since February of 2001 and within that time has saved Richard’s life numerous times.

In between pondering where his next shots will be taken, Richard trains for running marathons such as New York City and Boston.   He is also avidly involved with the Achilles Track Club that “assists all persons with disabilities to enjoy running for health in a social environment”.
